We welcome submissions of content for publication. If you wish to be considered for publication please email a summary of your article of no more than 250 words to Mary O’Brien using the form below. If the article is accepted for publication then we will request the full article to the specifications below.
All submissions should be made by email using this form in the first instance. Flute Focus does not guarantee to accept or to list all submissions. The editorial team at their sole discretion shall decide whether an item should be listed and in what format.
Please note: Flute Focus may edit articles supplied from time to time should we believe it appropriate and necessary to meet layout and style requirements of the website. If so, the article will be returned to the author for final approval before publishing.

Article Content Criteria
Please provide the following once acceptance of your article has been granted.
- Article content in Word format, including
- an abstract of the article - for the introduction ‘teaser’ - about 500 characters max.
- full article - no more than
1,500 words, with confirmation it has been spelling and grammar checked and
is ready to publish ‘as is’
- confirmation that the author is able to prove copyright
- Images for article to be sent separately in ‘web ready’ format
- must be in .jpg or .gif format (e.g. joe-blogs.jpg)
- images must have a readily identifiable name, separated with hyphens or underscores (e.g. harcourt-flute-1.jpg or irish-flute-music-1.jpg)
- image for introduction to be in landscape format preferably 120 pixels wide x 90 pixels high
- resolution to be 72 dpi
- other images for main article not to exceed 500 pixels wide and have a resolution of 72dpi
- author must have copyright to publish image
- Author biography
- text for biography to be short - less than 500 characters.
- photo to be jpeg or gif format, preferably between 100 and 115pixels wide and 72 dpi (square format is good, or landscape is OK e.g. 120 x 90 pixels)
- include link(s) to authors website if desired.
