Dr. Kathleen Joyce-Grendahl is the executive director of the International Native American Flute Association (www.inafa.org), an organization whose goal is to foster the preservation, appreciation, and advancement of the Native American flute. An ethnomusicologist who specializes in Native American, Celtic, and Norwegian music and culture, as well as world aerophones, she is also a trained classical flutist having obtained her doctor of musical arts degree with a minor in music theory from the University of Arizona.
