Date: 16th September 2012 Venue: Westlake Girls High School Here is your opportunity to join the NZ Woodwind Competition competitors in the world premiere of Cross Winds, a new piece by David Hamilton commissioned especially for this event. Entry to the ensemble is automatic for competitors but we are opening up the ensemble to all woodwind players who may wish to join this great opportunity! Rehearsal runs from 3 to 4 pm and the Concert starts at 7pm. Participants can download their desired part here. Please print your part and bring a copy to the rehearsal and concert Participants also need to bring their own music stand. Tickets for non-performers will be available at the door

Mary O’Brien is a flute teacher based on the North Shore in Auckland, New Zealand. She plays 2nd flute and piccolo with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra and is a past president of the Auckland Flute Society and the New Zealand Flute Society. She is the Editor in chief and the driving force behind Flute Focus.
